Thirty years ago I was given a camera as a gift and it has been with me ever since, on every trip, ready and loaded for any moment. Every year I would make prints of a couple of the photos I had taken that year and give them to friends during the holiday season.
Every month or so, I’ll be adding new photos from different places I have been.
Uffizi Photo Series
The sculptures of the Niobids were discovered in a vineyard in Rome in 1583 and moved to Florence in 1781. Artist unknown.
The light in the Uffizi Gallery that day seemed to embrace the marble and bring to life the Niobids of the unknown master.
Fireworks Photo Series
I love taking pictures with high speed B&W film, prolonged exposure, and a steady hand on a dark night.
Sometimes a flame becomes a flower.
