Tim Robbins

I started acting at the dining room table for attention at a young age. Through trial and error, eventually, with great good fortune, I was able to find work and purpose in the movie business and in live theater.

Musician

I grew up in a musical household, and we were all encouraged to express ourselves through music from an early age. Since then, collaborating sometimes with brother David, I’ve written songs for my plays, satirical songs for laughs and songs inspired by sea shanties, philosophy, faith, mysticism and the people I meet.

I had kept my songs under wraps for many years until my good pal, Hal Willner, gave me the confidence to record them. Hal set me on a path that led to an album and many joyful nights on tour with the Rogues Gallery Band throughout the U.S., Canada and in Europe, Australia and Japan. “Live at Ghent” is a recording from our first European tour in 2011. Enjoy.

Photographer

Thirty years ago I was given a camera as a gift and it has been with me ever since, on every trip, ready and loaded for any moment. Every year I would make prints of a couple of the photos I had taken that year and give them to friends during the holiday season.

Every month or so, I’ll be adding new photos from different places I have been.
